About this app
If you live near a level crossing, you have probably left your home only to find the barriers are down. Perhaps it’s a "double"—two trains to wait for and heavy traffic to deal with. If you had known, you could have waited, ensured you had everything, and taken your time. This app uses live train locations to predict arrival times at all UK level crossings. While it can't tell you exactly when crossing barriers are down—as that depends on local conditions and times can vary—it aims to let you know 4–5 minutes before a train arrives so you can plan your journey accordingly. Key Features: • Timetable View: See the best times to travel through your subscribed crossings. This is particularly useful if you need to navigate multiple level crossings that are close together on different lines. • Siri Integration: Just ask, "Hey Siri, is the crossing down?" to get the next expected train arrival. • Smart Notifications: Set a schedule around your usual journey times to get alerts when trains are due. • Location-Based Alerts: If you allow "Always" background location tracking, the app can send you notifications as you approach a crossing. If you prefer not to share your location, you can simply open the app and view the timetable manually. • Widgets & CarPlay: View your timetable directly from your iOS widgets or right on your dashboard via CarPlay. • Free Ticket System: The app uses "Tickets" to access features. Tickets are completely free and can be earned easily by sharing the app with others or watching a short ad. Disclaimer: This app must NOT be used to determine if it is safe to cross railway tracks.
