WhisperBoard is a voice-first keyboard for Android. Tap the mic, say what you want, and your words appear in any app, already typed. Speak instead of type Typing long messages, emails, and notes is slow. WhisperBoard puts one big microphone button where your keyboard used to be. Tap it, speak naturally, and the transcription lands in the text field you are using. Works everywhere a keyboard works Because WhisperBoard is a real keyboard (an IME), it types into any app: messages, email, notes, search bars, and forms. You stay in the app you are already using. Around 100 languages Dictate in your language. WhisperBoard supports about 100 dictation languages. Translate as you dictate Turn on translation and speak in your language while the text arrives in another. The built-in service supports 21 target languages. With your own OpenAI key, you can translate into English. Modes for your words A mode is a short note about what you usually talk about. It helps the AI spell the words you actually use: your jargon, names, and acronyms. Start from templates like Clean Transcription, Business and Meetings, Names and Spellings, Technical Vocabulary, and Medical Vocabulary, or write your own. Your last 40 dictations Your dictation history stays on your device. Re-insert any of your last 40 transcriptions into the app you are in, or copy them from the history page. A real keyboard too Need to type? One tap switches to a full QWERTY layout with a numeric row, symbols, and about 3,930 emoji. Switch back just as easily. Made for thumbs and palms Haptic feedback on every key, light and dark themes, and a layout that works in landscape without going fullscreen. Private by design You control the microphone. Recording happens only when you start it, or with the optional auto-start setting you turn on, and it is always clearly shown on screen. We do not collect what you type. Ordinary keyboard input stays on your device. In the managed service, audio is encrypted in transit, processed for your request, and discarded. It is not used to train WhisperBoard's own AI models. With your own OpenAI key or your own server, audio goes to the provider you choose. There are no ads and no sale of personal data.
