About this app

WHY TRU SHARK Every other shark app does one thing. OCEARCH-style trackers follow tagged sharks but tell you nothing about the species itself. Fish ID apps recognize a photo but have no depth. Tru Shark is built differently: real scientific data, real photography, and a design worthy of the animal. SPECIES ENCYCLOPEDIA - In-depth profiles for dozens of shark species across more than 20 families, from the great white and whale shark to rarely covered species like the goblin shark, megamouth shark, and frilled shark. - Multiple real, credited photographs per species, including rare angles you will not find compiled anywhere else. - Full scientific data: taxonomy, size, weight, diet, habitat, depth range, reproduction, behavior, and conservation status. - Conservation status explained in plain language, not just IUCN codes. - An illustrative range map for every species. - A built-in glossary that explains every scientific term as you read, from "pelagic" to "ovoviviparous." - Every species page is free to read for every user, no purchase required. SEARCH, FILTER, AND COMPARE - Search and filter the entire species library by family, habitat, size, and conservation status. - Use the Compare tool to put two species side by side and see how they stack up. RESEARCH AND NEWS - A dedicated Research section covering past discoveries, current studies, and upcoming shark research from around the world. - A live Shark News feed pulling in the latest coverage as it happens. GLOBAL TAG TRACKER HUB - Global shark tagging and tracking programs (OCEARCH and more) brought into one place, so you are not switching between a dozen different organizations' apps and sites. DAILY SHARK FACT CARDS - Get a quick, surprising shark fact delivered as a notification, with a direct link into the full species profile. - Configure how many fact cards you want per day. Facts rotate so you are not seeing repeats until the full library has cycled through. SHOWROOM: A REAL SHARK TRADING-CARD COLLECTION - Open packs to pull illustrated rarity-tier cards, species trophies, fact cards, and more into your own Showroom collection. - Earn Shark Teeth by selling duplicates, checking in daily, and discovering new species, then redeem them for more packs. - Send duplicate cards to a friend as a gift. TRU SHARK PREMIUM - Removes ads entirely. - Unlocks deep-dive content on every species: detailed behavior, reproduction, and conservation history sections. - Includes one free pack claim every month. Tru Shark is developed by Tru-Resolve LLC. We are just getting started: more species, more research coverage, and more tracker integrations are on the way.
