About this app

Textik turns what you record into text you can read, search and share. Record a lecture, a meeting or an interview, or import an audio or video file, and get back a transcript split into timestamped paragraphs. RECORD OR IMPORT • Record straight in the app, and keep recording while your phone is locked or you're in another app. • Import audio and video files: voice memos, podcasts, recorded calls, screen recordings, lecture videos. Only the audio track is used, so long videos work too. A TRANSCRIPT YOU CAN FIND YOUR WAY AROUND • Every paragraph carries a timestamp. Tap one and the audio jumps to that moment, so you can check a word or hear the tone. • Search your whole library to find the recording where something was said. • Copy the text, or share it as a .txt file with the timestamps included. 15 LANGUAGES, DETECTED FOR YOU Textik transcribes English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Polish, Ukrainian, Russian, Turkish, Japanese, Korean, Chinese and Hindi. It detects the language on its own. If you already know it, pick it, and that choice applies to that one recording. TRANSLATE A TRANSCRIPT Read any transcript in another language. The translation keeps the timestamps, so tapping a paragraph still plays the original audio. KEEPS WORKING WHEN YOU LEAVE Transcription runs in the cloud, not on your phone. Start it, close the app, and the finished transcript will be waiting in your library. There's no waiting screen to watch.
