Capture what you are thinking, at the speed of thought. TearMark is a notepad that lives in your macOS menu bar. Press Command+Shift+Space and it comes to you, ready to type. It slips away when you are done. No folders to pick, no titles to fill in, no date pickers. ■ Tear it off, stick it up Drag the window and let go — that note stays on screen as a sticky. Today's to-dos, a URL to read later, notes scribbled during a call. Stick it in the corner of your screen; toss it when it's done. ■ No filing. Still findable. There is no category feature — on purpose. Filing is the chore that kills the writing habit. Instead, TearMark makes notes findable without it. - Six paper colors. Red for urgent, blue for journal — the meaning is yours to assign - Keywords you search for are saved automatically, one click away next time - Full-text search finds the note you forgot you wrote ■ Nothing drops mid-composition Editors built on the web stack tend to lose characters while an input method is still composing. TearMark treats that as its highest quality bar — every change to the editor is verified against Japanese IME, the hardest case there is, before it ships. ■ Your notes are plain .md files Nothing is locked inside a database. Every entry is a plain Markdown file on your Mac. If TearMark ever goes away, the folder still opens in anything. ■ An exit to Obsidian, when a note grows up When a quick note becomes real knowledge, right-click and send it to your vault. TearMark is the entrance for every day; Obsidian is where knowledge lives. ■ Privacy Your notes are never transmitted anywhere. There is no sync server and no cloud storage.
