About this app
What if your snoring, mouth breathing, tired mornings and tongue posture are not separate things? AirwayAware helps you see the connections. Created by Dr. Kedar Bakshi, an implantologist with more than 28 years in clinical practice, AirwayAware is an airway screening and education app designed to help you understand patterns in your breathing, sleep, tongue posture, jaw and everyday habits. It does not give you a verdict. It helps you notice what may be worth paying attention to — and understand why. START WITH YOUR AIRWAY Work through a structured set of questions drawn from the signs clinicians look for in breathing and sleep: • How you breathe during the day • What happens while you sleep • Snoring and waking patterns • Mouth and nasal breathing • Tongue and jaw posture • How you feel when you wake Your Airway Score brings those answers together into a simple awareness tool. More importantly, AirwayAware explains why the questions matter. UNDERSTAND THE PATTERN AirwayAware includes 24 narrated educational lessons covering topics such as: • Why snoring is more than just a sound • Why the nose matters • What long-term mouth breathing may influence • Where the tongue should rest • How tongue, jaw and airway are connected • Why sleep duration and restorative sleep are not always the same thing • Breathing patterns and body awareness • Airway signs in adults and children The aim is not to overwhelm you with medical terminology. It is to help you understand your own body. GO DEEPER Explore 16 illustrated articles with carefully drawn medical illustrations, at your own pace. PRACTISE WHAT YOU LEARN AirwayAware also includes gentle breathing and myofunctional practices, a few minutes each. Exercises are designed to encourage awareness of: • Tongue resting posture • Lip seal • Nasal breathing • Jaw relaxation • Breathing patterns Nothing should be forced. The goal is not simply to tell you to breathe better. It is to help you recognise what better breathing and oral posture feel like. FOLLOW YOUR PROGRESS Repeat your screening over time and observe how your Airway Score changes alongside your daily practices. Notice the pattern. Understand it. Then decide what deserves attention. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Your questionnaire answers, Airway Score and practice history are stored locally in the app. AirwayAware does not require a user account or login. We use no advertising SDKs and no cross-app tracking, and your answers and scores are not uploaded to any server of ours. Subscriptions are processed through Apple and RevenueCat. They receive the information necessary to manage subscription access, but they do not receive your questionnaire answers or Airway Score. FREE AND PREMIUM CONTENT AirwayAware is free to start. The quick check, your Airway Score, all 16 articles and three of the daily practices are free, and stay free. A subscription unlocks the full assessment with an explanation for every answer, your complete report, the whole library of narrated lessons, and the nightly programme. Choose a monthly or yearly plan. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled through your Apple Account settings. Restore Purchases is available inside the app. IMPORTANT AirwayAware is an educational and screening tool. It does not provide a medical diagnosis and is not a substitute for examination by a qualified clinician. An Airway Score does not tell you that you have — or do not have — sleep apnoea. If anything about your breathing or sleep concerns you, speak to a healthcare professional. If you already use CPAP or another prescribed therapy, do not stop, reduce or change it because of anything you see or learn in AirwayAware. Speak with the clinician who prescribed it.
