About this app
Some conversations you rehearse in the shower for a week and still fumble. Rehearse First is where you get to have them once before they count. Pick the situation you are dreading — giving critical feedback, saying no to your boss, setting a boundary with a peer, telling someone they didn't get the promotion. Say who the other person is to you and what actually happened. Then have the conversation. The person on the other side is not a pushover. They arrive with their own version of events, their own reasons, and something they are not going to say unless you earn it. Be vague and they get defensive. Name a specific behaviour and a real consequence, and they start to open up. That is the whole exercise. WHAT YOU GET AFTERWARDS The debrief is the point. Not a score — a short, direct read on how it went: • What landed, and why it was the hard thing to say • Which of your own phrases undercut you, with the line to use instead • What the conversation needed and never got Every point quotes something you actually said. If it cannot point at your words, it does not appear. SIX SITUATIONS • Giving critical feedback • Saying no to your boss • Setting a boundary with a peer • Your first 1:1 with a former peer • They didn't get the promotion • Addressing disengagement HOW IT WORKS Two full rehearsals are free — no account, no email, no card. After that, credits. One credit is one rehearsal: the whole conversation, however long it runs, and the debrief at the end. Credits do not expire. If a rehearsal fails to start, the credit comes straight back. No sign-up. Nothing tied to your name. Rehearse First is a practice tool, not HR, legal or psychological advice.
