About this app

Recoll is a voice-first memory journal with an AI brain. Speak a memory in seconds and Recoll transcribes it, understands it, turns what you mentioned into reminders, and lets you ask anything about your own life in plain language. An external brain that captures every moment you'd otherwise forget, and hands it back exactly when you need it. You speak. Recoll does the rest. SPEAK. WE DO THE REST. Tap, talk, done. No typing, no forms, no tags to fill in. Recoll transcribes your voice and quietly structures what you said: the people, the places, the topics and the dates. Every memory lands in a clean timeline with a title and a summary, ready to be found again. YOU SAID IT ONCE. THAT'S ENOUGH. Recoll listens for the things you'll need later and brings them back at the right moment: • What you asked for: "Remind me to call the dentist on Tuesday." • What you mentioned in passing: "Mum's birthday is next Thursday." • What's worth doing: "I really should book that flight before prices climb." • Recoll's own ideas, only if you want them. You set the dial, from "only what I ask" to "surprise me". Recoll never schedules more than you allow. Reminders can repeat daily, weekly or monthly, respect your quiet hours, and follow your own timezone. FIND ANYTHING. REMEMBER EVERYTHING. Ask in natural language and Recoll answers from your own memories, citing the exact moments it drew from. "What restaurant did Carlos recommend?" "When did I last see the doctor?" "What did we decide about the trip?" Your memories answer. Semantic search understands what you mean, not just the words you typed, so you can find a memory even when you don't remember how you phrased it. THE MOST PRIVATE THING YOU OWN You're handing Recoll the small, unguarded details of your life. We built it so that trust is never the risky part. • Your recordings and transcripts are encrypted in transit and at rest. • Recoll runs on subscriptions. Your memories are never sold, and never used for advertising. • Delete your account and your memories, recordings and reminders go with it, wiped from our servers.
