About this app
What can I cook today? Tap the food in your fridge and pantry, and Plenty shows you recipes you can make with it. Hundreds of recipes, each with steps and timers, most with a picture of the plate, and we strive to add new ideas every week. HOW PLENTY PICKS MEALS Food that's satisfying. Recipes adapted from public health bodies, plus simple meals from everyday foods. Meals that tend to keep you full longer. Every meal has two or more of protein, fiber and a healthy fat. You don't count or track anything. Recipes that are easy to make. You cook with what you already have, one step at a time. PLENTY KITCHEN Tap the food you have: eggs, rice, oats, a can of beans, bread. Pick how much time you have, and Plenty shows the meals you can make. PLENTY SCAN (PRO) Take a photo of your fridge or shelves instead of tapping. Plenty Scan reads the photo with AI and shows you a list to check before anything is added. The photo is read once and never stored. PLENTY COOK MODE Each step gets its own page. If a step needs a wait, the timer is right there. PLENTY MEAL PLAN Put meals on the days you want, or let Plenty fill the week for you. The calendar shows what's coming up. Your shopping list adds up what you need for the week, sorts it by aisle, and leaves off what you already have. PLENTY CRAVINGS Type a food, or tap sweet, salty or warm. Plenty Cravings asks how much effort you want and suggests meals from Plenty's recipes. Typing in your own words uses Apple Intelligence on iPhones that support it. The buttons and food names work without it. ALSO IN PLENTY Home shows the meals you ate, month by month. Leave out foods you don't eat, set your meal times, and turn on reminders if you want them. WHAT YOU WON'T FIND No account or sign-up. No ads and no tracking. No calories, macros, scores or streaks. Plenty doesn't log what you eat. WHERE THE MEALS COME FROM The recipes are adapted from recipes published by public health bodies. Some come from MyPlate Kitchen, U.S. Department of Agriculture, which is in the public domain. Others contain public sector information licensed under the Open Government Licence v3.0. Simpler meals are combinations Plenty puts together from everyday foods. The pictures of the plates are illustrations made with AI from each meal. The recipes, their amounts and their steps are not generated. Ingredient information comes from the Canadian Nutrient File, Health Canada, and USDA FoodData Central. Foods were sorted using published thresholds, and the app lists the research behind the approach so you can read it yourself. Plenty is not affiliated with or endorsed by Health Canada or the USDA. PLENTY PRO Free includes every recipe, Plenty Cook Mode, three sets of meal ideas a day, two week plans a month, two Cravings chats a week, reminders and Home.
