About this app
Someone in your household is drowning in admin. Bills, renewals, appointments, forms - not because they can't handle them, but because there's too much of it, or because ADHD, recovery, or a new baby has made keeping track the hardest part of the day. You already remember for both of you. OxSlate makes that work instead of making it exhausting. HOW IT WORKS You keep a board of everything you're carrying for them - a bill, a dentist appointment, a passport renewal. OxSlate puts one thing at a time in front of them, worded calmly, at a sensible hour. No list. No "you have 7 things to do." They see one reminder, with your name on it and a Done button. That's it. TWO PHONES, TWO ROLES You are the supporter. You add reminders, set the pacing, and see what has been handed over. You pay for the app if you choose to. They are the recipient. They get reminders. No account, no password, no sign-up, no paywall. One tap to connect, and everything after that just arrives. WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT - One at a time. They never face a queue. However much is waiting, one reminder is shown and at most one notification is ever in the shade. - No nagging. Reminders get calmer each time they come back, not louder. No state or label ever blames the person - "Date passed", never "overdue" or "late". - No stopwatch. You see that something arrived, and the one thing they did with it: done, put off, stopped, handed back, or taken on. You see the day it was handled, never the minute, and never how long it took. No read receipts, no completion rates, no streaks - and tests fail the build if anyone tries to add them. - They're always in control. A pause switch stops everything instantly. Disconnect ends the connection and you can't undo it - only they can accept a new invitation. - No account for the recipient. They never sign up and are never asked for personal information. Their phone schedules reminders locally, so they arrive with no internet. BUILT FOR HOUSEHOLDS WHERE THINGS GET MISSED Setup asks two plain questions about your household: how much is getting missed, and how reminders actually land for them. Nothing asks for a diagnosis. Your answers set the pacing - how short the wording is, how far apart attempts are spaced, whether delivery windows are wide or exactly the same every day, and whether reminders are spoken aloud. WHAT YOU CAN DO - Add reminders by typing, or say several out loud and confirm what was heard. - Snap a photo of a bill and let the app read the date, amount and reference. - Set due dates, repeats and categories. - See what's been handed over and what's still yours. - Keep a separate board for each person you support. PRIVACY BY DESIGN - Push notifications carry no words. The phone writes the reminder from its own copy, so the push provider never sees what you wrote. - Photos you attach are uploaded so the recipient can actually see the bill or letter. Stored on our own systems, sent to no third party, and deleted after 180 days. A reminder works without one. - "Snap a bill" is different: that photo is read once to fill in the details, then discarded. Never stored. - Speech is transcribed on your device. No audio is uploaded. - Email sign-in stores a hash of the address, not the address itself. - No ads and no advertising or tracking SDKs. Crash diagnostics carry no reminder text, names or email addresses. A subscription lifts those limits and adds more boards. The recipient never pays and never sees a paywall.
