About this app

OneTake is a teleprompter and reaction studio that lives on your phone. It works offline. No account and no uploads. You start with a script. Write it in the app and see word count and read time while you type. Group scripts by category if you want. When you are ready, you have two ways to record. For teleprompter, open Studio and the text scrolls over the camera preview. You can change scroll speed, text size and background opacity until it feels right. Hit record when you are ready. You get a countdown, and you can pause and resume without stopping the take. A Live Activity shows the time while you record. For reaction, pick a video from your Photos as the background. You see a preview of how you and the background will look together, then you record your reaction over it. The app mixes your camera and the background into one video. That video is saved as a take just like any other, so you can trim it and add color after. When you finish, the video is in My Takes. Takes are grouped by day. You can see which script you used, how long it is, and whether you trimmed it or added color. Open a take to edit. Drag the handles to trim. Tap Blade to split at the playhead and delete the part you do not want. You can undo if you change your mind. Pick a LUT if you want a different look. There are ten, including Natural which leaves the color as is. You see small swatches so you know what you are picking. When it looks right, save a new copy, replace the original, or save to Photos. You can also share the file directly. Export keeps your trims and splits. If you did not pick a color, it copies the file. If you did, it applies the color as it exports. Privacy is simple. The camera and microphone are only used when you record. Photos access is only used when you pick a background or save a finished video. Nothing is sent anywhere unless you choose to share it. If you delete the app, your scripts and videos go with it. OneTake Pro unlocks recording in both studios and export. Without it you can still browse your library and scripts.
