About this app
Obstat turns "I can't use this app" into "I can use it after I do what I chose." Traditional blockers just say no. Obstat makes access conditional. You pick the apps, decide when blocking applies, and choose what it takes to earn a temporary unlock. When you open a protected app, you see your barrier instead of the feed. Complete it, and you get a defined access window. When it ends, protection resumes. Build rules that fit your life • Block during a schedule (weekday working hours), after a daily usage limit (30 minutes of YouTube), or on demand with manual activation • Set how long each earned unlock lasts and which apps it covers • Create a standard rule in under a minute Challenges you choose — not one imposed on you • Wait timers that make opening deliberate • Cognitive challenges that engage your head before your thumbs • Camera-verified push-ups, counted entirely on your device • Movement challenges powered by your step count • Healthy activities you define — squats, a glass of water, your own task • Daily progression: each unlock you earn raises the bar for the next one that day You stay in control • A deliberate emergency bypass always exists — the first each day is free • No deceptive uninstall prevention, no device-admin tricks • Built for self-directed adults. Not a parental-control or employer tool Private by design • No account, no cloud, no telemetry. Rules and history never leave your device • Push-up verification happens on-device; camera frames are never stored or uploaded • The app's only network use is Google Play Billing, for the optional paid bypass Permissions, plainly Obstat asks only for what enforcement needs: Accessibility (to notice when a protected app opens), Usage access (for daily limits), display over other apps (to show the blocker), and camera or physical-activity access only if you choose those challenge types. Open a protected app → see your barrier → complete it → use the app intentionally → protection resumes. That loop is the whole product.
