About this app
Hyper Stick Mania is a hard precision arcade game. You guide a constantly spinning stick up a tunnel of moving obstacles. Touch a wall, a blade, a piston — anything — and you're back at the start. You steer with one finger. That's it. That's the game. WHO THIS IS FOR People who like being beaten by a level and coming back anyway. People who retry a corner forty times because the forty-first will be clean. People who read "you will crash a lot" as a promise, not a warning. If that sounds exhausting, this isn't for you. If it sounds like fun, welcome home. ONE FINGER, NO BUTTONS Drag anywhere. The stick moves with your finger, one-for-one, like a trackpad. Let go and it stays where it is. You never control the spin — only where the stick is. The skill is knowing where it will be pointing a moment from now, and having it somewhere safe when it gets there. NO LIVES. ONLY THE CLOCK. Touch anything and you're back at the start of the level. But the clock keeps running. Your score is the total time you spent on a level, every failed attempt included. Crash on the final gate after fifty seconds and you've paid fifty seconds. A crash never ends a run; it just makes the run slower — and slower is the only way to lose here. FOUR SPEED TIERS Cruise, Overclock, Meltdown, Mania. Same geometry, faster scroll, less time to think. Clear a level to unlock the next tier on it, so finishing always leaves two ways forward: the next level, or this one faster. Every tier keeps its own best time. Mania is exactly as unreasonable as it sounds. MARATHON Every level, back to back, no menu, no saving, no resuming. Your final time is the sum of every level — retries and all. You can't fail a Marathon. You can only finish it badly. Your first one will not be clean. LEADERBOARDS Global and by country. All-time and weekly — the weekly board resets every Monday, so a record set years ago doesn't make today's board pointless. ACHIEVEMENTS From "First Steps" to "Godlike" (every level on Mania), plus one for beating the developer's own Marathon time. And one for failing a hundred times — you'll earn that one. AN ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK Synthwave, trance and progressive techno, built for rotation and speed. FREE DEMO, ONE PURCHASE The opening levels are free at every speed tier, with nothing cut out — enough to find out whether you're the kind of person this game is for. One single purchase unlocks the rest of the levels and Marathon mode. If you loved Kuru Kuru Kururin on the Game Boy Advance or the 2005 freeware Pined Pine Mania, this is the same idea, rebuilt from scratch for one finger — no code, art or audio from either is used.
