About this app
Most stress apps tell you how you are doing. Even tells you what to do about it, then shows you whether it worked. IT STARTS BY READING THE LAST NINETY DAYS Before asking you anything, Even reads what your iPhone has already recorded: sleep, heart rate, heart rate variability, resting heart rate, wrist temperature, breathing rate, activity, cycle tracking and State of Mind from Apple Health. Then a short set of questions about your weeks, your nights, and what you carry. Even opens by playing back the season you have just lived: what it cost you, where it landed, when it peaked, and a name for the stretch you have been in. ONE NUMBER EVERY MORNING The Even score runs 0 to 100, higher meaning more even, in five bands: Spent, Stretched, Steady, Light, Bright. It weighs five things, each read against your own history rather than a population average: sleep, body at rest, the day's demand, mood, and activity balance. Under it, a Foundations layer checks the absolutes a relative score is not allowed to flatter, like a seven hour sleep floor and how regular your nights are. A chronic short sleeper is never told there is nothing to work on. Each morning also gives you one line on how to pace the day. THEN SOMETHING TO DO ABOUT IT Three suggestions a day, sized to the score and the hour. Paced breathing with haptics on the breath. Nature sounds recorded outdoors. Ambient songs. An evening wind-down that ends with the screen off. A walk counted by your own steps. Journaling, with one question from your own day or a blank page instead. A second look at a thought, written on device with Apple Intelligence. A quick movement burst. Guided stretching, standing or floor. AND PROOF THAT IT WORKED This is the part most apps skip. After each session Even reads what your heart did and takes one tap on how you felt. Over a few weeks it ranks the sessions by what worked for you, so you stop guessing and spend your effort on what settles you. Sessions file back to Apple Health as mindful minutes and workouts. Trends lays out what your data holds, today and over time. Every sentence Even shows you traces to a number it computed. The research is cited in the app by name and DOI, including the Harvard and Michigan work the model is designed on. WHAT EVEN WILL NOT DO It is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, prevent or cure anything, and will never tell you that you have a condition. It will not shame you. The streak counts rest days and never resets to zero. Nothing in it is designed to make you feel bad for not opening it. No ads. It will not guess at a number it does not have. On a new iPhone with an empty Health store, Even says so and labels anything it stands in, rather than showing a score built from somebody else's data. WHAT YOU NEED An iPhone, and Apple Health with some history in it. The more nights it holds, the sooner Even can read you. Even works best with physio data from a wearable. A subscription. Even is not free and has no free tier. The yearly plan includes a one week free trial, so you can see the whole app before you are charged. An account, created after purchase with Sign in with Apple or Google, so your readings survive a new phone. What syncs is derived: scores, check-ins, session outcomes. Never a raw Health sample. You can delete your account and everything in it from inside the app. SUBSCRIPTION Even Yearly, 49.99 USD per year, with a one week free trial for new subscribers. Even Monthly, 5.99 USD per month. Even Lifetime, 99.99 USD once. Prices in USD and may vary by region. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation. Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the period ends, and renewal is charged within 24 hours of that. Manage or cancel in your Apple Account settings. Any unused part of a free trial is forfeited on purchase. Terms: https://even.byaster.com/terms Privacy: https://even.byaster.com/privacy
