Mahjong solitaire, played by ear. Every tile is a sound: a temple bell, a black cab, a jazz trumpet, a music box. Hear a tile, remember where it lives, and match it with its twin. No pictures, no numbers, just your ears and your memory. Put on headphones. The tiles are stacked in layers, as in classic Mahjong, and only the free ones are in play: nothing on top, and a side open. Tap a free tile to hear it. Tap it again, or drag it, to take it up to the pane. When two of the same sound meet in the pane, the pair clears. Clear the board to win. SEVEN WORLDS OF SOUND • England — church bells, tube chimes, rain on cobblestones • India — temple bells, auto-rickshaw horns, monsoon on a balcony • China — gongs, erhu strings, koi splashing under a lantern • America — jazz trumpet, baseball crack, a diner jukebox • Japan — bonsho bells, shinkansen chimes, cicadas and taiko • Kids — music boxes, playground swings, ice cream vans, nursery tunes • Random — screen doors, crickets, a garbage truck at dawn Every world owns thirty-six sounds and two ambient soundscapes. Each time you open the app it draws a fresh set for every world, so no two sessions play the same board. HOW TO PLAY • New to Mahjong? A guided tour walks you through your first board, and you can replay it any time • Pick a world and a difficulty: Beginner (8 tiles), Easy (16), Medium (24) or Hard (36, three layers deep) • Listens are limited: one per tile, and every one counts as a move; clearing a pair gives one back. Remember a tile and drag it straight to the pane without hearing it again: that is how the best scores are made • The pane holds five tiles. Fill it with tiles that have no partner and the board is lost • Every deal can be cleared without ever leaving a second tile waiting in the pane. Do that, hearing each tile no more than once, for a PERFECT clear. Fewer moves means a higher score, and clearing fast earns a speed bonus • Stuck? Replay a sound, take a hint, shuffle the board, or undo • Hardcore: three pane slots, no undo, and a full pane re-deals the board ECHOES Every clear pays Echoes. Perfect clears pay half again, Hardcore doubles it, and the first clear of the day adds 500. Spend them on tile backs (jade, ink, cinnabar, blossom) or on new worlds. LEADERBOARD Clear a board, type a nickname, and post your score. No account, no sign-in, bragging rights only. Three boards, Easy, Medium and Hard, every world together.
