A countdown and a circular gauge keep you on schedule, so you can keep both hands on the kettle. THREE METHODS, PLUS YOUR OWN 4-6 Brew (free) Split the total water 40% for the first half, 60% for the second. The ratio between your first two pours sets the flavor; the number of pours in the second half sets the strength. Pick Sweet, Balanced or Bright, then finish in one, two or three pours. It is a pour-over approach widely adopted by coffee lovers worldwide. Hybrid Method (Pro) A fixed five-step recipe for the Hario Switch that alternates immersion and percolation. Opening and closing the switch pulls bright acidity and immersion sweetness into the same cup, and dropping the water from 90°C to 70°C mid-brew is the key flavor move. Sweet / Balanced / Bright adjustment is supported. New Hybrid Method (Pro) Bloom first to let the gas escape, then combine immersion and percolation across five fixed steps. Clean in the cup, complex on the palate. Original methods (Pro) Build a recipe of your own: how many steps, how much water per step as a percentage of the total, how long to wait, and a short note for each pour. Save as many as you want.
