Keep the useful parts of social media while putting limits on the endless feed. Four tools. One snail. More control over your attention. 1. STOP INFINITE SCROLLING Give your feed an ending. On Reddit and X, Cool Snail turns endless scrolling into pages of 20 posts. At the end of each page, pause for three seconds before choosing to continue. You can leave immediately — another page should be a decision, not a reflex. On Instagram, a separate reminder appears after every three Reels in your feed, helping you notice when scrolling takes over. 2. BLOCK SHORT VIDEOS Interrupt Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, TikTok scrolling and X’s video feed before a quick check becomes another hour. Short-video blocking targets supported video sections, so you can keep using other parts of the app. Supported videos opened from friends’ messages get a pass — staying connected does not have to mean getting stuck in the feed. 3. CONTROL YOUR SCREEN TIME Decide how much time you want to spend on social media. • Set a daily limit across supported apps. • Choose individual limits for each app. • Define the hours when social media is available. • Automatically exit supported apps when a limit is reached or outside your allowed hours. Time controls support Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Reddit, X, Facebook and LinkedIn. Set your boundaries before the algorithm starts making decisions for you. 4. SEE YOUR SCROLLING WITH THE SNAIL BUBBLE It is easy to lose track of time — and of how many posts you have seen. A floating snail bubble shows your time in the current app, your total social media time and your post count where supported. Choose time, posts or both. Drag the bubble out of the way, or tap it to open Cool Snail. Post counting depends on the supported feed and is not currently available for TikTok. MAKE YOUR COMMITMENT SERIOUS WITH PRO The four core tools are free. PRO adds deeper statistics and an optional 30-day commitment that locks your configured limits, allowed hours and controls. Buying PRO does not automatically lock your settings. Review your rules and explicitly confirm your commitment first. Android permissions remain under your control. YOUR SOCIAL MEDIA ACTIVITY STAYS ON YOUR DEVICE Feed detection and usage tracking happen locally. Screen content, messages and information accessed through the accessibility service are not sent to our servers. Your usage statistics stay on your phone. ACCESSIBILITY SERVICE DISCLOSURE Cool Snail uses Android’s AccessibilityService API to provide its core blocking, scrolling-awareness and time-control features. With your permission, the service identifies supported foreground apps and reads the limited interface information needed to detect short-video feeds, count supported posts and apply your rules. It can perform a Back or Home action to exit a feed or app, and display the floating bubble and reminders. Information accessed through AccessibilityService is processed locally and is not collected remotely, transmitted or shared. The service is enabled only after you read the in-app disclosure, provide consent and activate it in Android Settings. You can disable it at any time. The snail does not scroll. Neither should you.
