About this app
Nobody's quietly doing more. Most chore apps split housework by count or by turns: one for you, one for me. But chores aren't equal, and they aren't equal for everyone. Ten minutes of dishes is nothing to one person and the worst part of the day for another. ChoreDivider asks the question no other app asks: how draining is this, for you? HOW IT WORKS 1. Rate. Everyone in your home rates each chore from 1 (barely notice) to 10 (wipes me out). Your numbers stay sealed until everyone has rated, so nobody copies anybody. 2. Split. ChoreDivider works out the split on your iPhone: minutes even first, total dread as low as possible second. Not a rough rule of thumb, an exact solver. 3. See why. Tap any chore and it tells you why it landed with you: "You rated it 8, Marie rated it 3, she finds it lighter. Your two weeks still come out even." WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT Your own rating is your own cost. If you hate ironing, the app tries to keep ironing away from you and gives you something you mind less. Ratings are private until the reveal. No anchoring, no negotiating. A ledger, not a leaderboard. A rolling balance over 14 days, in minutes, shows who's ahead. Old imbalance ages out on its own; nobody carries debt. No points, no streaks, no levels. The fair split is the reward. Every assignment is explained. "Why me?" always has an answer. BUILT FOR REAL HOMES Couples, flatmates, families. Two people or a full house. Works with one phone. Add your partner or kids by name, rate on their behalf, hand over the phone so they can tick things off as themselves. Invite anyone with an iPhone through iCloud. Everything syncs on its own, works offline, catches up later. Chores that happen once, daily, weekly or every few days. Pin a chore to one person if it's always theirs. Skip today with a swipe when you're eating out. Projects: the someday list (clear the basement, paint the fence) lives apart from chores. Each of you ranks them two at a time, and the orders merge into one shared queue where nobody's list wins. A single daily reminder that learns when you usually open the app. No nagging pushes, no red badges. Trends: eight weeks of minutes per person, side by side. YOUR DATA STAYS YOURS No account, no signing up. Your household lives in your own iCloud, not on a server of ours. No ads, no tracking, no data sold. Anonymous usage statistics can be switched off.
